Apple’s official bezel, both displays, five poses, a real fold — and how your current artwork crops

iPhone Duo mockup

Drop in an inner and an outer screenshot, plus the two PNGs from Apple’s official iPhone Duo bezel pack. The page composites your screens into Apple’s own device file, folds it in 3-D through five poses, and exports a PNG or a short WebM of it opening the way Apple’s hero does. Without the pack it falls back to a drawing made to Apple’s proportions. Below, see how much of a current iPhone screenshot the Duo’s two shapes keep.

How much of your current screenshot survives

Every current iPhone screenshot class sits at 1 : 2.16–2.17. The Duo’s two App Store sizes are 1 : 1.42 and 1 : 1.45. Drop one of your existing screenshots in and both crops are shown as numbers — the choice between cropping and bars is yours, so both are printed.

An existing screenshot

A 1320 × 2868 or 1290 × 2796 file from your listing is the usual case.

Inner display (open) · 7.61878 × 26704302007 × 2853

The inner panel’s pixels and the inner screenshot size are both Apple’s and do not match; neither page explains the gap. No point sizes appear here because Apple has published no scale factor. Verified 2026-09-13.

Why this is not an app preview

Apple’s app preview specification does list an iPhone Duo row — accepted resolution 886 × 1920 portrait, H.264 and ProRes 422 (HQ only), 15–30 seconds at 30 fps — and on the same row says:

Support for uploading assets for iPhone Duo in App Store Connect will be available later this year.

So a Duo preview has a published size and cannot yet be uploaded. The WebM here is neither format nor size; it is a fold animation for a website, a tweet or a pitch deck. With Apple’s bezel pack loaded the device you see IS Apple’s file — composited in your browser under the licence you accepted when you downloaded it, never served from here. Without it, the device is our own drawing made to the proportions in Apple’s HIG illustrations and hero frames, and contains no Apple image.

People hold iPhone Duo and set it down in a number of ways: partially folded like a book, placed down on a surface, or standing on its edges.

Those are the three poses Apple names, and the three with Apple’s wording under them above. Closed and open flat are added; every angle and every camera position is ours. The opening animation follows Apple’s hero — closed on the outer display, then the front half swings like a cover into the book pose.

About this tool

How do you show an app on iPhone Duo before anyone has one?

The device ships on 23 October 2026 and App Store Connect cannot take Duo assets yet, but a launch page, a tweet or a pitch deck needs a picture now. This page composites an inner and an outer screenshot into Apple’s official iPhone Duo product bezel — the PNGs you download from Apple’s Design Resources — folds that in 3-D through five poses, and exports a PNG or a three-second WebM of it opening. Without the pack it falls back to a drawing made to Apple’s proportions.

The second half answers the question that comes before any of that: how much of an existing 1 : 2.17 iPhone screenshot survives at the Duo’s 1 : 1.42 and 1 : 1.45 shapes. Drop one in and both crops are shown as numbers — what a cover crop loses, what a contain fit leaves as bars — because the choice between them is yours.

How it works
  1. 1Download Apple’s iPhone Duo bezel pack from its Design Resources page, open the DMG, and drop “Inner Open Landscape.png” and “Outer Closed Portrait.png” into the bezel slots. The page checks each file’s shape against Apple’s pack and declines anything else with the reason.
  2. 2Choose an inner screenshot (shown when open) and an outer one (shown when closed). The inner screenshot is fitted upright for every pose — landscape for the vertical-hinge poses, portrait for “on a surface”, where the device is turned.
  3. 3Pick a pose. Three are the ones Apple’s HIG names — partially folded like a book, placed down on a surface, standing on its edges — plus closed and open flat. The angles are ours; Apple publishes none.
  4. 4Set a background and an export size, then download a PNG. On the inner poses, play the fold, or record it as a WebM in a browser that supports canvas recording (Chrome, Edge, Firefox).
  5. 5For reuse, drop an existing screenshot into the lower panel. It is compared against both App Store sizes under cover and contain, and warns if the source is smaller than the target.
What it cannot tell you
  • The export is a marketing image. It is not an App Store screenshot — Apple wants the bare screen with no frame — and the WebM is not an app preview: Apple’s preview row wants H.264 or ProRes at 886 × 1920 and cannot accept Duo uploads yet.
  • Apple’s bezel files are never stored or served by this site. Apple’s Design Resources licence forbids embedding them in software or making them available over a network, and permits them for mock-ups of software for Apple platforms; so you download the pack from Apple, the composite is made in your tab, and if you share the result Apple asks that the recipient is told of those restrictions. With no pack loaded, the device is our own drawing to Apple’s proportions and contains no Apple image.
  • The fold is a 3-D hinge rotation with perspective, projected onto a canvas — the same opening Apple’s hero shows, closed on the outer display through to the book pose. It is a drawing, not a photograph, and the opening angles and camera positions are ours; Apple publishes none.
  • No point sizes. The frame is drawn from panel pixels on Apple’s specification sheet, and Apple has published no scale factor.
  • Images stay in the tab. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing — not the images, not the settings — is stored.
Questions

Can I upload this to App Store Connect?

No. Apple’s screenshot specification wants the screen itself at 1398 × 2034 or 2007 × 2853, in JPEG or PNG without an alpha channel, and this export has a frame and a background around it. The screenshot designer composes at those sizes and exports JPEG.

Is the device drawing Apple’s?

It can be. Drop in the two PNGs from Apple’s official iPhone Duo bezel pack and the device on screen is Apple’s own file with your screenshots inside it, composited in your browser. Apple’s licence forbids this site from embedding or serving those files, which is why you supply them. Without them the page draws its own device to Apple’s proportions and says so.

Will my current screenshots work on iPhone Duo?

Not without a decision. Every current iPhone screenshot is about 1 : 2.17; the Duo’s inner size is 1 : 1.42. Cover-cropping a 1320 × 2868 file to 2007 × 2853 keeps about 65% of its height; containing it leaves about 35% of the width as bars. The page prints the exact figures for your file.

Why WebM and not MP4?

Because a browser can record a canvas to WebM without a server and cannot, portably, to MP4. Safari has no WebM recorder, so the button is disabled there and the PNG works everywhere. Neither is an App Store app preview.
